Bay Area Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamics (BAPKPD) Network

MISSION STATEMENT

The Bay Area Pharmacokinetic Pharmacodynamic (BAPKPD) Network is a group of pharmaceutical scientists in the San Francisco Bay Area who are dedicated to the integration of pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) with other closely-associated disciplines (e.g., preclinical and clinical pharmacology, translational medicine, statistics, and pathophysiology) to enhance research and development processes and to expedite drug approvals. The BAPKPD network seeks to enrich scientific knowledge and to foster networking among Bay Area scientists through regular meetings and special events, such as seminars, workshops, and social gatherings.

 

Goals

To promote the understanding and use of PK/PD modeling and simulation (M&S) in drug research, safety assessment, clinical trial design, and regulatory dossiers,
To facilitate a local network of pharmaceutical scientists who exchange ideas and discuss state-of-the-art tools and new trends in data analyses by featuring outside speakers and peer-review opportunities.
